Privacy Policy

  1. About This Policy

    1. This Privacy Policy was last updated on September 16, 2026. It applies to Electronic First Shop, which operates at https://www.electronicfirst.shop and its sub-domains (the "Shop"). Electronic First Shop is owned and run by Electronic First.
    2. This document sets out what personal information we collect when you visit the Shop, buy software licence keys, Steam preloaded accounts or other digital products from us, submit a wholesale enquiry, or contact our support team. It also explains why we collect that information, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
    3. By using the Shop you accept the practices described here. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Shop. Words with capital letters that are not explained in this Policy carry the meaning given to them in our Terms and Conditions.
    4. Electronic First Shop is a separate storefront from electronicfirst.com. Purchases and accounts on the Shop are handled under this Policy, not the policy published on the main Electronic First website.
  2. Our Commitments

    1. We tell you why we need information before or at the point we ask for it.
    2. We only use what you give us for the reasons we stated, for closely related reasons, where you have agreed, or where the law requires it.
    3. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it to serve you, meet our legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
    4. We collect information fairly and lawfully, and with your knowledge or consent wherever that is appropriate.
    5. We make reasonable efforts to keep the information we hold accurate and current, and we correct it when you tell us it is wrong.
    6. We protect personal information with sensible technical and organisational safeguards against loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorised access or change.
    7. We keep this Policy publicly available so you can always see how we handle your information.
  3. What We Mean by Personal Information

    1. "Personal Information" means any information that identifies you or could reasonably be used to identify you, such as your name, email address, billing details, order history, IP address, or anything else you provide that is linked to you.
    2. "Non-Personal Information" means information that does not identify you on its own, such as your browser type, device type, pages viewed, or aggregated usage statistics. If we combine Non-Personal Information with Personal Information, we treat the combined data as Personal Information.
  4. Information You Give Us

    1. You can browse the Shop without giving us any Personal Information.
    2. When you place an order we collect the details needed to complete it and deliver your product, such as your name, email address, billing country, payment method, and the items purchased. Because we sell digital products, delivery is by email and through your order page, so a working email address is essential.
    3. When you create an account we store your name, email address, password (in hashed form), and your order history so you can view past purchases and re-download keys.
    4. When you submit a wholesale enquiry or price request we collect your name, business name, email address, and the details of your enquiry so our team can respond and prepare pricing.
    5. When you contact support we keep the messages you send us, along with any attachments or screenshots, so we can resolve your issue and refer back to it if needed.
    6. When you sign up for our newsletter we store your email address until you unsubscribe.
  5. Information Collected Automatically

    1. Cookies: The Shop uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your basket, remember your theme and language preference, and understand how the Shop is used. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the Shop, such as checkout, will not work correctly without them.
    2. Device and browser data: When you visit the Shop we automatically receive your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, and the website that referred you to us, if any.
    3. Usage data: We record which pages you view, how long you spend on them, the searches you run, what you add to your basket, and the time and date of your visit. We use this to understand what customers are looking for and to improve the Shop.
    4. Fraud and security signals: Because digital keys can be targeted by fraud, we may collect signals such as IP location, payment risk scores, and device fingerprints to verify orders and protect both you and us. Orders flagged as high risk may be held for manual review or cancelled.
    5. Children: The Shop is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has given us information without consent, please contact us and we will remove it.
  6. How We Use Your Information

    1. To process and deliver your orders, send you your licence keys or account details, and provide order confirmations and invoices.
    2. To manage your account, let you view your purchase history, and help you recover access if you lose it.
    3. To respond to support requests, wholesale enquiries, refund requests, and complaints.
    4. To detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks, unauthorised access, and abuse of the Shop.
    5. To send you service messages about your orders, changes to our terms, or issues affecting your account. These are not marketing messages and you cannot opt out of them while you have an active order or account.
    6. To send you marketing emails about new products, discounts, and offers, but only where you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
    7. To analyse how the Shop is used so we can improve products, pricing, page layout, and the checkout experience.
    8. To comply with tax, accounting, consumer protection, and other legal obligations.
  7. Who We Share Information With

    1. We do not sell or rent your Personal Information to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
    2. Payment providers: When you pay, your payment details go directly to the payment provider you choose, such as PayPal, our card processor, or our cryptocurrency payment partner. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the last digits of a card or a transaction reference. We never see or store full card numbers.
    3. Product suppliers and licensing partners: For some products we pass the minimum information needed, such as an order reference or the region of purchase, to the supplier that issues the key or account. They do not receive your contact details unless a specific product requires it.
    4. Service providers: We use trusted companies for hosting, email delivery, customer support tools, analytics, and fraud screening. These providers only receive the information needed to do their job for us and are bound by contracts that restrict how they can use it.
    5. Electronic First group: Electronic First Shop and electronicfirst.com are operated by the same business. We may share information between the two where it is needed to run support, fraud prevention, or accounting across both storefronts.
    6. Legal requirements: We may disclose Personal Information if we are required to by law, court order, or a government request; to enforce our Terms and Conditions; to investigate suspected fraud or illegal activity; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Electronic First, our customers, or others.
    7. Business transfers: If Electronic First is sold, merged, or transfers its assets, your information may be passed to the new owner as part of that transaction. We will let you know before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
    8. Aggregated data: We may combine Non-Personal Information into statistics and reports, such as which products sell best in a region. These reports never identify individual customers.
  8. How Long We Keep Information

    1. Order records, invoices, and payment confirmations are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law in the countries where we operate, which is generally up to seven years.
    2. Account information is kept while your account is active. If you ask us to close your account we will delete or anonymise it, except for records we must keep by law.
    3. Support conversations are kept for up to three years so we can handle follow-up questions and disputes.
    4. Marketing email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a suppression record so we do not email you again.
    5. Fraud-related records may be kept for longer where needed to protect the Shop from repeat abuse.
  9. Your Choices and Rights

    1. Access and correction: You can ask us for a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
    2. Deletion: You can ask us to delete your Personal Information. We will do so unless we need to keep it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons, in which case we will explain why.
    3. Marketing opt-out: Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and ask to be removed from marketing lists. Service emails about your orders will continue while you have an open order or active account.
    4. Cookies: You can manage cookies through your browser settings at any time.
    5. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the UK and EU GDPR, including the right to object to certain processing, restrict processing, request data portability, or complain to a data protection authority. We will honour these rights where they apply.
    6. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We aim to respond within 30 days.
  10. Email Tracking

    1. Emails we send, including order confirmations, delivery emails, and marketing messages, may contain tracking that tells us whether the email was opened and which links were clicked. We use this to confirm deliveries reached you and to understand which messages are useful.
    2. If you would rather not be tracked in this way, you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, or contact us at [email protected]. Most email clients also let you block remote images, which disables open tracking.
  11. International Transfers

    1. We serve customers worldwide, and some of our service providers are located outside your country. When your information is transferred across borders we take steps to make sure it remains protected, including using providers that commit to appropriate safeguards and contractual protections.
  12. Links to Other Websites

    1. The Shop links to other websites, such as Steam, Microsoft, payment providers, and social media platforms. We do not control those sites and this Policy does not cover them. Please read their privacy policies before sharing any information with them.
  13. Security

    1. All traffic between your browser and the Shop is encrypted using HTTPS. Passwords are stored only in hashed form. Access to customer data inside our business is limited to staff who need it to do their job.
    2. No system is perfectly secure. We cannot promise that unauthorised access will never happen, but we monitor for it and will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law if a breach affects your Personal Information.
    3. Please keep your account password private and let us know immediately if you think your account has been accessed without permission. Be cautious about what you send us by email, as ordinary email is not encrypted end to end.
  14. Changes to This Policy

    1. We may update this Policy from time to time as the Shop, our services, or the law changes. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will also let you know by email or by a notice on the Shop.
    2. Continuing to use the Shop after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.
  15. Contact Us

    1. Our support team is available around the clock, every day of the year. If you have a question about this Policy, want to exercise any of your rights, or believe we have handled your information incorrectly, email us at [email protected] and we will get back to you as quickly as we can.
